The works to the Grade II listed Baptist Church on Priory Street, York, designed by William Peachey focused around the high level roof repairs (by GNR of York) as well as the most vulnerable capping masonry.
This included the following works:
1. To carefully restore, clean, treat and reinstate the metal cross to the Principal Gable.
2. Carefully lift the existing stone copings to allow the roofing works to be undertaken, re-dowell them with stainless steel fixings and re-secure the units upon completion of the roofing works.
3. Carry out in-situ mortar and glazing repairs to the trefoil window using colour-matched aggregates, reinforced to the sound masonry with stainless steel profiled metal bars.
